As a Therapist, Army Veteran, and former military spouse, I have 27+ years of experience with diverse and vulnerable populations and situations. My experience includes working with children & families. My clients include those working through anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, stress, anger, gender dysphoria, internalized beliefs, and family and community relationships. As a Therapist, I also enjoy helping you work though trauma related to LGBTQ+ people who may be faced with discrimination, homophobia, transphobia, and bullying, which can contribute to post traumatic stress disorder. Teens - Supporting teens through their personal and social issues, and help develop healthy behaviors and habits.
Families - Assisting families in increasing their dialogue regarding their issues and concerns. Helping these families gain insight on ways to address their challenges.
Parenting – Assist parents in learning strategies to address challenges that arise throughout childrearing; managing stress and increasing support. Help parents identify, address, and manage their own past or present experiences that may be impacting the way they relate to their child.
Behavioral Modification – Assisting children and families in identifying harmful or negative behavior, and working together to replace them with healthy behaviors.
Anger & Stress Management- Helping individuals recognize their anger and take steps to identify the source of anger. Educating individuals on relaxation techniques to decrease their outbursts and anger.
Anxiety – Assist individuals in uncovering their underlying cause of their worries and fears. Help individuals learn how to relax and look at situations in a new and less frightening way. Provide assistance to help individuals develop better coping and problem-solving skills.
Depression - Providing support and promoting healing through hopelessness, low motivation and energy, sadness, irritability, sleep disturbance, and loss of interest and pleasure in life.
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder- Helping individuals reduce their emotional and physical symptoms, to improve daily functioning, and to help the person better manage with the event that triggered the PTSD.
Women’s issues – Helping women find their voice as a woman and learn to let go of shame. Increase their insight on self-care and healing.
